Playdate
Playdate (2025) is an action-comedy film directed by Luke Greenfield, written by Neil Goldman, and starring Kevin James as Brian and Alan Ritchson as Jeff. In the movie, Brian, a recently unemployed accountant turned stay-at-home dad, agrees to a “playdate” with Jeff and their sons — expecting an afternoon of casual dad talk and little league. Instead, the outing spirals into chaos when they are hunted by a ruthless team of mercenaries. Jeff’s almost mysterious preparedness stands in stark contrast to Brian’s complete lack of tactical skill, and the two fathers must bond and fight through minivan mayhem, playground escapes and high-octane action to survive.
