Moana 2 (also stylized Moana 2: Wayfinding Beyond the Reef) is a vibrant animated musical adventure from Disney Animation, directed by David G. Derrick Jr. and co-directed by Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller. Released on November 27, 2024, the film reunites Auliʻi Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as Maui as they answer a call from their wayfinding ancestors, journeying into dangerous, long-lost waters with a new crew. Featuring original songs by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foaʻi, Moana 2 further explores Polynesian culture with stunning animation and heartfelt themes of leadership, tradition, and self-discovery.
